Perez Takes His Red Bull For A New York To Miami Joyride

INTERNATIONAL: F1 driver Sergio Perez took his Red Bull car for a joyride from New York City to Miami to test the track layout for the inaugural Miami Grand Prix taking place on 8th May.

‘Checo’ braved the city streets of New York, the swampy Everglades with the help of barefoot water-skier Parks Bonifay before finally arriving at the Miami International Auto dome and visiting the Miami Dolphins’ Hard Rock Stadium.

The Miami GP is just one stop away, with the F1 roadshow in Imola for the Emilia Romagna GP this weekend for the fourth race of the season.

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc leads the drivers’ standings after two wins and a second-place finish, 34 points clear of Mercedes’ George Russell with Perez a further seven points back in fourth, three behind third-placed Carlos Sainz.

Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton and Perez’s team mate and defending champion Max Verstappen languish in fifth and sixth respectively following indifferent starts to the season.
